The Ministry’s international branch, LR International Ministry, has been supporting ministries overseas for years. Now the ministry is actively supporting ministries in Pakistan and Kenya. We have planned to make the first overseas fact finding trip to Pakistan; however, the plan had to change because of a terrorist attack in March of 2016. With the door to Pakistan closed God opened the door to Kenya.
On the first trip Pastor Robinson was able to stay with a ministry son, Pastor Moses Wafula. On the night of his arrival, we travel six hours by bus to get to our destination a town named Bungoma. We had about two hours of sleep before we were off to preach the Sunday morning service. To see what his ministry was doing we had to travel by motorcycle. About 50 kilometers out of the town of Bungoma by motorcycle to a school he started for preschool children, many who had lost their parents to the AIDS epidemic, and some were infected with the virus themselves. He had to establish connections with a medical center so if and when the children became sick he had a place to take them. Pastor Wafula’s ministry also established a preschool. I was blessed to find the kids when they left his school did extremely well once they were enrolled in regular schools. These plus the care his ministry assist widows and elderly. We do not pretend that we are the single cause for his success, but we are glad to be a part of a ministry moving forward in such a powerful and mighty way. Below you will see the classrooms, teachers, and children.
